MTB Tube Recycling Program
Ever wonder what could be done with those old MTB tubes besides sending them to the landfill?
We have found Alchemy Goods that recycles old MTB tubes into useful products such as wallets
and messenger bags. Alchemy Goods is located in Seattle Washington and all products are made in

Here is the list of tubes they can take and the ones they can't.

We CAN recycle:

* Any size 26" tube.
* 700c tubes 35c or wider
* Any 27" tube
* Any 29'er tube

We CAN NOT recycle:

* Tubes with flat protection slime
* Thick walled thorn-resistant tubes
* Kids bike size tubes
* BMX size tubes
* 700c tubes skinnier than 35c

A number of Memphis area bicycle shops are signed up for the program. Several others have been
contacted but have not yet responded. Here is the list as of now.

So gather up that pile of old tubes in the corner and take them to a recycling bike shop. Be sure to
complement the shop on being green!
